BRIEF INTRODUCTION

HISTORY

D&K Craft Fairs was established in September 2007 in Lacock Wiltshire with the sole purpose of providing fledgling and established craftsmen, artists, designers, makers and producers a place to display and sell their products to the public and gain exposure and recognition for their works without having to compete with mass produced and bought in goods.

My name is Debora Burr the person behind D&K Fairs and our first event held in Lacock village hall was way back in September 2007, little did I know back then I would be now running on average 40 events a year in Wiltshire and Somerset.

Our passion and dedication to the promotion of genuine arts and crafts over the years and our truly amazing stall holders are what helps to make our events as friendly and fun as they are. They are a truly eclectic mix that you won’t find at any other art and craft events and are the best at what they do. Where else would you be able to talk directly to the person how makes the items for sale on the stalls.

PHILOSOPHY

MOTIVATION

Our motivation is simple to create a shopping experience with the highest quality, locally handcrafted goods.  We strive to support local artisans who devote their lives to their creations.

To bring to the forefront the talented fledgling and established craftsmen, artists, designers and makers.

We want more people to buy local and direct from the those that create and make the items for sale. When you buy direct and locally, all the money you spend goes to the people who actually do the work, this is extremely important because truly local businesses keep a significantly higher proportion of money flowing within the local economy, thereby supporting the heart of the local community making it a happier and healthier place to live.

If you would like D&K Craft Fairs to organise an event, please do not hesitate to get in touch, we would be more than happy to help and offer our services if available.

We organise numerous craft fairs and markets a year showcasing unique, design led handmade products directly from fledgling and established craftsmen, artists, designers and makers the area has to offer.

Grab a cuppa, pull up a chair and take a look at what we do and our fabulous stall holders have to offer.

For Stall holders -

● To offer great venues and be as fair with our stall prices as possible so they can in turn can make a living and offer great prices to the lovely customers that come through the door.
● Bookings not taken until your work is seen, this benefits both you and us. Products need to fit our criteria of being high quality, handmade and original, it also helps us decide if you will do well at our events or would be more successful elsewhere.
● We do everything we can to ensure that we maintain a good variety of crafts at all of our events, which means limiting each particular category according to the size of the venue.
● Careful planning of where each stall is situated so everyone has the best possible chance of showing their work off to its full potential.
● Those that book with us will be given the help, support and exposure your amazing talents deserve.

For Visitors -

● Friendly and fun atmosphere set in some of the most picturesque locations in the country.
● Discover a wide variety of  unique, quality, handmade products sold directly by the makers at fantastic prices
